Kıvanç Köseoğlu est diplômé d’une licence de l’Université Yildiz Technique en Ingénieur Géomètre en 2012. En 2019, il a rédigé sa mémoire de master à l’Université Bilgi d’Istanbul, qui porte sur une étude compare qui s’intitule « Les Différences et Similarities des gouvernements de Reza Shah et Mustafa Kemal Atatürk en Iran et en Turquie ». En 2022, il a commencé une première année du doctorat à l’EHESS en Histoire et Civilisation au sein de CETOBaC sous la direction de Monsieur le Professeur Hamit Bozarslan pour sa thèse qui s’intitule « Les Perspectives des Partis de Gauche en Turquie et Iran au sujet de la Question Kurde entre les deux Grande Guerres Mondiale ».
Sa thèse de doctorant se concentre sur les perspectives des Partis de Gauche, notamment en Iran et en Turquie, au sujet de la Question Kurde à l’époque des années de la fondation de Turquie et Iran. En dehors du courant dominant de la propagande, la thèse vise à analyser la relation entre les Kurdes et les groupes gauchistes en me concentrant sur les effets de la perspective gauche Européenne, l’approche des Soviets sur la question des Kurdes et les positions de la gauche iranienne et turque contre l’existence des Kurdes vivant en Iran et en Turquie et la condition de la région historique, le Kurdistan.

Kıvanç Köseoğlu graduated from department of Survey Engineer at the Yildiz Technical University in 2012 et he obtained his master’s degree in the department of History from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2019. In 2022, he started a PhD at the EHESS under the supervision of Professor Hamit Bozarslan with the subject of “Evaluation of the Kurdish Question from the point of view of the Turkish and Iranian Left between the two Great World Wars”.
His doctoral thesis aims to focus on the situation of Kurds, taking account of the perspectives of Turkish and Iranian Leftist groups between the end of the World War 1 and the beginning of the World War 2/ the interwar period. Contrary to the mainstream ideas trying to standardize all of diverse variants of the equation, the thesis aims to analyze the complex relationship between the Kurds, Leftist Parties and the centralized states by using the comparative method. In order to analyses the multi-layered problem more clearly, the thesis focuses on the effects and perspectives of the European Leftist Parties, the assessments of the Soviets on the Kurdish Question and lastly the positions of the Leftist Parties in Iran and Turkey against the existence of Kurds.
