Alice von Bieberstein

Alice von Bieberstein is research assistant at the Institute for European Ethnology, Humboldt-University of Berlin and a fellow at the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage (Carmah). Her work is concerned with political violence, state formation and political economy with a focus on the afterlives of the Armenian genocide through land and property in Turkish Kurdistan. She has co-edited the book ‘Reverberations: Violence across Time and Space’ (UPenn Press, 2021) and her articles have appeared in various journals, including Subjectivity, Social Research, and the Journal of the Royal Anthropological Institute.
