Elif Dığıroğlu was born and raised in Istanbul. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Arabic Translation and Interpreting at Istanbul 29 Mayıs University. At the same university, she pursued a minor in Islamic Studies. She continued her academic journey in cultural studies, earning a master’s degree in Cultural Studies at the University of Sakarya with a thesis titled 'The British Mandate Period in Jerusalem within Memoirs.' Her interests have also taken her to several Eastern countries, including Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, and Iran. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at EHESS. During her research, she will examine the position of translation and translators in the Ottoman state in the 19th century, as well as the role of the palace in these extensive translation movements.
In addition to her academic pursuits, she has been working as a translator/interpreter in the Arabic-Turkish language pair since her university years. As well as working as a project manager, she has been involved in a significant number of volunteer projects. As a linguist, she has taught Turkish as a foreign language to foreigners.

Elif Dığıroğlu est née et a grandi à Istanbul. Elle a obtenu son diplôme de licence en traduction et interprétation en arabe à l'Université d'Istanbul 29 Mayıs. À la même université, elle a suivi une mineure en études islamiques. Elle a poursuivi son parcours académique en études culturelles et a obtenu une maîtrise en études culturelles à l'Université de Sakarya avec une thèse intitulée ‘British Mandate Period in Jerusalem within Memoirs’. Ses intérêts l'ont également conduite dans plusieurs pays de l'Est, dont la Jordanie, le Maroc, l'Égypte et l'Iran. Actuellement, elle est doctorante à l'EHESS. Dans le cadre de ses recherches, elle examinera la position de la traduction et des traducteurs dans l'État ottoman au XIXe siècle, ainsi que la position du palais dans ces importants mouvements de traduction.
En plus de ses intérêts académiques, elle travaille en tant que traductrice/interprète dans la paire de langues arabe-turc depuis ses années universitaires. Outre son travail en tant que chef de projet, elle a participé à un grand nombre de travaux bénévoles. En tant que linguiste, elle a enseigné le turc comme langue étrangère aux étrangers.
