Diplômé d’un master en Relations internationales mention « Négociation et expertise internationales » à l’I.E.P. de Strasbourg en 2022. Actuellement étudiant en doctorat dans la mention « Textes, terrain et interdisciplinarité » sous la direction de M. Vincent Fourniau. La thèse, intitulée « Nationalisme kazakh et mondialisation, ancrages passés et présents », tente d’interroger l’apparente contradiction entre nationalisme kazakh et les notions, perçues et vécues, de mondialisation et modernité. Plus précisément, elle entend étudier les dynamiques d’ancrage du nationalisme kazakh dans la modernité mondialisée, notamment à travers des références romantisées au passé national kazakh ; ces dernières peuvent permettre au discours nationaliste kazakh de créer des niches discursives actuelles et sans-cesse actualisées dans lesquelles s’insérer. L’idée de longue durée est mobilisée, en ce que l’adaptation du nationalisme kazakh à la conjoncture moderne s’insère dans une tendance ancienne et continue d’adaptation des peuples nomadisant le Dacht-e Kipchak aux nouveautés venues de l’extérieur.

Graduated with a Master’s degree in International relations from SciencesPo Strasbourg with the mention “International expertise and negotiations” in 2022. Currently a P.h.D. student under the supervision of Vincent Fourniau in the “Texts, fieldwork and interdisciplinarity” specialty. My P.h.D. thesis, titled “Kazakh nationalism and globalization, past and present anchorages”, aims at questionning the appearent contradiction between Kazakh nationalism and the notions – as perceived and experienced – of globalization and modernity. More precisely, it hopes to study the dynamics through which Kazakh nationalism engages with and anchors itself in a globalized modernity, namely through romanticized references to an idealized national past; the latter may allow nationalistic narratives to carve themselves discursive niches that are actualized constantly as to integrate into broader, globalized discourses and debates. A long-term perspective allows for the embedding of the adaptability of Kazakh nationalism in a wider conversation on the continuous adaptation abilites demonstrated by the Kazakh people throughout history’s many upheavals.
