Awards and Honours

2016-2017 : Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law Grant "Cultural Security and Publicness : Syrian Musicians on the Streets of Istanbul", an interdisciplinary project aiming to foster awareness of the right to culture of Syrian refugees in Turkey and to address the lacunae in the frame work of cultural rights within the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights with respect to music.

2015 : EU-Funded Hrant Dink Foundation Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant for the citizens of neighbouring countries Turkey and Armenia (Second Term Research Trip for year 2015).

2014 : Friede Institut Travel and Accommodation Grant, as an invited speaker at the panel discussion “From First World War to Contemporary Turkey : Armenian and Kurdish Experiences” at the Institut fur Religion und Frieden of the Catholic Diocese of the Republic of Austria.
